Silly Rex

We've been finding Rex in some funny spots the last couple of days! Thought our crazy kitty needed a blog post all of his own! Above he's sitting in a sack of clothes.

Below he's checking out what to eat for a late night snack! ha ha

Not a funny pic, but thought it was a good photo of him. (Am I turning into a crazy cat lady or what?!?!?)  Porter took this today.

I finally brought up my rubbermaid tote of summer clothes from the basement today. Rex thought that was a fun place to take a nap.

In Porter's closet (again, taken my Porter).

Porter is 5!!!!!

Wow! Where has the time gone? My lil' buddy is turning 5 on Friday. He's such a sweet, smart, funny, loving, wild, crazy kid. Couldn't imagine my life without him!!! We had his birthday parties, yes, that is PARTIES with an "s", yesterday. He had a friends party in the afternoon then a family party in the evening. He was SUPER excited for his parties!! He is VERY MUCH into Lego Ninjago's right now. So that is what the theme was this year. He's taking a Little Ninja's class through a local parks-n-rec program.  We hired his instructor to come teach the kids some ninja moves during his party.  They had a GREAT time!! :) Above he's doing some ninja moves.

The kids at the party.

Breaking a board

Hannah then Stella and Haydn (blogger is being a huge pain for me tonight trying to post these photos!!!!!)

Playing Pin The Sword on the Ninja.  Me thinks P-man can see through his blindfold!!!
Blowing out the candles. For his friends party he was Kai from Ninjao (he's the red ninja and P's favorite), for the family party he had the white ninja, Zane.
My balloon creations, made to look like the ninja's and the master, Sensi Wu.
With the gift bag from Nana nad Papa, it's as big as him!

Trying to find his gifts!

Stella taking a turn.

Then Haydn's turn!!

Second birthday cake of the day! Sans shirt, he was hot and sweaty by then! He and Haydn doing some Ninja moves!

Bugs trying out Stella's new bike!!

P with in his Ninjago shirt :)

Uncle Mark taking a spin on Stella's bike!

Being goofy the night before the parties.

Spring Break

We traveled to Florida for Spring Break this year. Our close friends have a condo just blocks from the beach and invited us down....we couldn't pass that up!! :) We had such a wonderful time soaking up the sun and experiencing what southern Florida has to offer.

I'm pretty sure the Davidson clan were the most pale people on the beach!!!!

5 kids buried in the sand

Going out for dinner the night of Stella's birthday

Tuesday we headed to Miami Seaquarium

Touching sting rays

One of the dolphin shows

Stella being eaten by an alligator!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no, now the alligator has Mike!!!!!!!!!!!!

Killer Whale show

The following day we headed north to Ft. Lauderdale for a "jungle cruise" (no jungle was involved! LOL!). We did see some gorgeous homes. Mike and I decided to go ahead and purchase this small gem. I think it should be large enough for our family.

The boat we were on was a double decker and Stella and Berlin were so funny during the cruise. We were all on the lower level and the insisted on having their "alone" time and being on the top level! So funny! They thought they were so gornw up!

Once the boat got to the "jungle" there was an alligator show. It freaked Stella out and she and I had to leave the show, but I did snap a photo of the guy putting his hand in the alligators mouth.

The captain of the boat told us all about the mansions and yachts we were boating passed. We saw Steven Speilbergs yacht (the largest privately owned in the world), Tiger Woods' yacht (actually now it's his exwife's yacht!). As we were pulling back into the harbor I noticed this one yacht named "My Three Girls" (this is the best pic I could get), I thought maybe my Dad would be interested in buying this!!! LOL!

Eva fell asleep on the cruise ride back to the port.

Grabbing a bite to eat and drink.

Thursday morning Mike and Jeff took Stella, Porter, Berlin and Eric on a deep sea fishing excursion. It was a 4 hour tour and sounds like it was pretty rocky. P ended up puking, Stella and Berlin did not feel well at all. Even Jeff and Mike were getting nauseous. They all came around and ended up catching something.

Last day on the beach!

P found this as we were leaving the beach and insisted on a photo. :)

Stella turns 7!!!!!!!

So our little girl is 7!! Does not seem possible. It's amazing to think how much she has changed our life for the better. Our tradition of to have the number of balloons in their room on the morning of their birthday for how old they are turning. Since we were in Florida for her birthday I did the balloons in her room on the day of her party. Here she is with her 7 balloons and Porter with his orange balloon! :)

Mike was still in AZ on the day of her party and I'm SO thankful that Sara and Mom were able to help me out at her party. We had it at a bowling alley and invited the girls from her class along with Porter, Hannah and Haydn. It was fun and totally crazy all at once!! 7 year old girls are wild!!!!
Such form!!

The entire group, only 2 girls from her class were not able to make it.

Her cake

Who is ready for pizza, pop, cake and ice cream?!?!?!

We celebrated S's bday on St. Patricks day since we would be in FL for her bday and Mike was home by then.

The only thing she asked for was a wheelchair for her American girl doll. That is was Porter gave her.

The other major hit was her Rollerblades! She loves them and we've been SO fortunate to have awesome spring (summer like) weather for her to use them a lot already!
