Balloons!

Last Sunday evening we went to Indianola for their Annual Hot Air Balloon Days festival. I've lived in Iowa most of my life and have never been to balloon days! We thought the kids would totally love seeing all the hot air balloons take off. Well.....we got there and waited around for an hour and it was finally cancelled due to high winds! Bummer! The kids really didn't seem to mind much, they had fun running all over the place, eating fair type food, playing in the bounce houses, etc. Here are a few shots of them.

Stella running up the hill...you can see a red/yellow balloon in the background, a few of them tried to get up in the air, but it was just too windy.

This would of been better had I realized I was casting a shadow on Mike and moved back some!

And keeping with the balloon theme, today the kids and I went to Homemakers grand opening and there was a balloon artist there. Stella wanted a purple monkey, so he made her a monkey hanging from a banana tree and it is also a hat! Porter wanted a blue monkey (monkey see, monkey do!). I thought they were totally hilarious, they wore them all over the store!
