Puddles, Puddles Everywhere!

We've been having rain showers on and off all day today. The kids had a blast jumping in puddles this afternoon. They were soaked afterwards, but at least they had a good time, right?! :)

Trip Up North

This weekend we traveled to Minnesota to spend some time with the Kohls'. We had a lot of fun, we haven't made a trip up there for over a year so it was fun to get the kids together. Saturday we went shopping then to Chuck E. Cheese. The kids (big and little!) had a lot of fun as you can tell!
Stella and Porter enjoying a ride.

Mackenzie is so cute!

Porter riding a horse.

Kohls playing a kiddie game.

Of course Mike had to try and beat Kohls' score! Kelly is in the background and is a little over 4 months pregnant--she looks great! Her due date is 2 days after Mike's birthday.

New Wheels

I picked up this Chevy Silverado for the kids the other day at a garage sale. They are in love! It's so funny to watch them ride/drive it, they are full of smiles! :)

Let's go!

And they are off...

Watch out Daddy and Porter....Stella is on the loose!

Bunny House

I picked up a Bunny House kit last week on clearance, thought it would give us something to do someday when the weather was icky. Well that day was today! It's really windy outside and just kind of gloomy. The kids had fun putting it together.

Stella putting frosting on P-man's finger.

Of course she had to sample the frosting, too!

Decorating the house.

We're done!

Doesn't it look like a cavity waiting to happen?!?!?!

Spring Has Sprung!

Spring is here, yippie! A beautiful day outside today and we spent most of our waking hours enjoying it. This morning we had Berlin and Eric over to play while their parents were busy moving into their new house. The kids dug for earth worms and I gout out cups and we put dirt in them along with about 5 worms each. Berlin took hers home with her, a wonderful house-warming gift for their new digs!! I wasn't thinking and didn't get any pics of them digging in the dirt, it was really cute. While Porter was napping Stella and I played a lot outside. My back is still giving me grief so I was on the grass a lot laying down, hence the overload of pictures!

She loves hopscotch this spring!!

She also loves doing flips on the hanging bars!

I thought this was cute. :)

Full of laughs today!

Our daffodils are starting to bloom! Yay!

She may look cute here, but she was telling me "I'm pretending to pee, mommy. I'm pretending to pee!"

Mike started working on getting the garden in order. We are moving it to the side of the garage. He removed the old railroad ties that used to border the landscaping, dug out all the plants and landscaping rocks and put in new landscaping pavers. This was not all done today, but the pavers finally went in, so it's starting to come together.

License To Drive

Sara watched the kids for me again today when I went to the chiropractor. I dropped them off there yesterday when I went and saw the chiro, too. Stella and Porter have had lots of fun playing with Hannah and Haydn lately! I turned down their street on my way to pick them up and saw a little yellow Corvette speeding down the street!! The girls were having lots of fun!

See---they really do like each other!! :)

Hangin' with the Barker's

We met up with Amy, Cady and Dax today at the zoo. The weather turned out to be wonderful and the kids had a lot of fun running around (and Amy and I enjoyed getting them tired out!). I only took 2 pictures the entire morning. Here they are at the zoo.

After leaving the zoo we went to Stella's Blue Sky Diner for lunch. The kids LOVED getting malts poured on their heads! I forgot to bring my camera in, here are the pics Amy emailed me.
The one of Porter cracks me up b/c his arms weren't quite long enough to hold the glass on his head!!! It was pretty funny. :)

Hoppy Easter!!

We had a great Easter in Mt. Ayr with my parents this weekend. Sara and the girls also made it down, poor Wes was stuck at work this weekend. I forgot my camera so I'm using the photos that mom just emailed me! Thanks, mom!!!!!!!

Here are the 4 of them dressed up this morning. We should of taken the photo before Mass, b/c as you can see by the time we got home from church they were half undressed and more focused on playing that posing for the camera!

Yesterday we went to the courthouse lawn for the egg hunt. The kids had a great time and had a ball hunting for all the goodies hidden in the grass.

After the egg hunt we went across the street to the Princess Theater for story time. They read a handful of spring themed stories. It was the first time I'd been in the theater since it opened, it is really nice inside!

Mom bought a fun little cookbook for kids with great ideas for meals. We made these for the kiddos yesterday for lunch, they all thought their lunch was pretty funny! :) (Sorry, I forgot to rotate them before uploading them to blogger and I'm too lazy to fix the pictures!)

Easter Activities

The past few days have been filled with Easter activities. Yesterday we went to an Egg Hunt and of course the kids had a ball. Stella took off like a shot and was in heaven trying to race everyone to pick up the eggs. Porter is much more "cool" and meandered around picking up eggs at his own pace.

Porter picking up an egg

With Daddy.

This morning we colored Easter eggs. Porter only lasted 3 eggs before he became bored and wandered away. Stella enjoyed it. We have 2 more Egg coloring kits, so we may do more later in the week....we'll see!

Creating their masterpieces

Both of them deep in thought

3 of the eggs broke during the process, so we ended up with 9 beautiful eggs! :)

Friday I took them to the mall to see the Easter Bunny and ride the Easter Train. Porter didn't want to sit in the bunny's lap, so no photo of him.

Porter wanted me to ride the train with him both times we rode, so I didn't get a pic of Stella, but here is Mr. Cheesy on the train!!

And a trip to the mall is not complete without stopping at Auntie Ann's for cinnamon sugar sticks for the kids. They are so good, but SOOOOOOOOO messy! This picture does not even begin to show you how covered Porter was in cinnamon and sugar! :)
